Here, cruel masterminds hatch world-conquering plots. They employ nearly indestructible, privileged henchmen that push the heroes to the brink. Superpowers and gadgets aid the characters in their work, but rather than technical, the devices and vehicles are all magical. There are heart-stopping chases, thrilling battles, and tender moments.  

 

Wren and May fall for each other in the first book, The Dark Legend. Over the course of the next two novels, The Rogue Dragon and The Rose Assassin (and soon, the fourth, The Black Mage), their relationship deepens, even as they face ever-escalating threats to Alfar’s continued existence. It’s a sapphic love story wrapped in a series of thrilling 007 film-style adventures that explores themes of found family, LGBTQ+ acceptance, and religious bigotry.

 

And its heroes are strong, capable, queer women.
